Building Tampa Bay Since 1992
Central Florida Contractors, Inc. (CFC) is a family-owned concrete contractor that has delivered public infrastructure throughout the Tampa Bay area for more than three decades. Founded in 1992, the company was built on quality workmanship and family values — principles that still guide it today.
CFC's roots trace back to New Jersey, where founder and owner George got his start in construction working alongside his father at Tino Construction, a family-owned concrete contracting company in Middlesex County. When his father retired in 1978, George carried that foundation forward, eventually bringing it to Florida to meet the state's growing infrastructure needs.
In 1993, CFC expanded into Pinellas County and established itself as a trusted contractor specializing exclusively in public concrete construction — a focus it has held ever since, earning a reputation for safe, efficient, and timely project delivery across Tampa Bay.
Our Team
Family and public service run deep in CFC's story: George's brother Lou stepped away in 1998 to serve as a Pinellas County Sheriff before returning in 2010 with valuable leadership experience. In 2026, CFC welcomed Justin Berglund as a partner, marking a significant milestone in the company's long-term succession and growth plan. His path to CFC began in 2005 at David Nelson Construction, where he first worked alongside the CFC team, and later took him to American Bridge in 2017 as a Project Manager on a major infrastructure project in St. Thomas. After returning to the U.S. in 2022, he joined Burgess Civil and reconnected with CFC — a relationship grounded in shared values and years of industry experience that ultimately grew into a partnership.
Today, CFC employs approximately 60 employees, bringing together experienced foremen, concrete finishers, and skilled construction professionals equipped to manage projects of varying sizes and complexity.
